IPEX Corzan® High Pressure (HP) CPVC has been specially developed with greater pressure and high temperature performance.

In addition, IPEX Corzan HP has a 25% higher pressure rating than the equivalent sized generic CPVC at 180°F. Available in schedule 80 ½” to 8” sizes.



IPEX CORZAN® HP CPVC is available in Sch80 pipe from 1/2" to 8".

CORZAN HP has a 25% higher pressure rating than the equivalent sized CPVC at 180ºF. Schedule 80 pipe has been certified to NSF SE 8459. This specification requires CPVC pipe to meet or exceed a 24448 cell class and have an HDB of 4000psi at 72ºF and 1250psi at 180ºF.

In addition the CORZAN HP material is the only CPVC that is approved by the US Coast Guard for use on US flagged ships.

IPEX CORZAN HP utilizes the same solvent cement installation method as CORZAN CPVC and can be joined using CORZAN grade solvent cements and primers that meet or exceed the requirements of ASTM F656. Expansion coefficients, support spacing, and chemical resistance remain identical to IPEX CORZAN CPVC eliminating the need for additional installer training.

IPEX Corzan HP is certified to the highest commercially available CPVC cell classification of 24448. This means that our HP CPVC demonstrates a drop impact strength up to three times that of generic 23447 CPVC compounds.


Temperature is a major factor when designing an offshore piping system. IPEX Corzan HP exhibits an elevated HDB at 180°F and is pressure rated up to 200 psi. This equates to IPEX Corzan HP being able to operate at a higher pressure throughout all elevated temperatures with a maximum 25% pressure increase at 180°F when compared to generic CPVC. In addition, IPEX Corzan HP exhibits a heat distortion temperature (HDT) of 239°F, the highest of any ASTM D1784 compliant CPVC compound.


Additional design considerations for offshore applications include abrasion resistance and weight. The contents of seawater are often highly abrasive and can shorten the life of the piping system. IPEX Corzan HP is both abrasion resistant and one sixth to one eighth the weight of comparably sized metal pipe.


Offshore piping systems must meet the strict flame and smoke requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). The Corzan HP compound is approved for Marine use from the USCG.
